Dr. MARTIN DANIEL SAINE

Martin Daniel Saine MD, 63, passed away on November 24th, 2017, at his home in Ishpeming.

Martin was born on May 4th, 1954, the son of Paul and Ellen (Liuha) Saine. Martin was a graduate of Ishpeming High School, Michigan Technological University and the University of Michigan Medical School. He did his residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine and was board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

He worked for Henry Ford Health Alliance Plan, with the Myron Barlow Dermatology practice and then established his own Dermatology practice in Alpena, Michigan and Marquette.

He enjoyed skiing, swimming, music, tv and keeping up with current events.

Martin is survived by a brother, David P, Saine (Mary Zink) of Sparta, Wisconsin; a sister, Susan Saine (Mark Winnen) of Lakewood, CO; a niece, Lauren Winnen of Lakewood, CO; cousins and caretakers, Annie and Cliff Trudell.  Martin was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles, and a nephew, Eric Winnen.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 12 Noon at Bethel Lutheran Church with Rev. Lauri Maki officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service in the church.  Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
