TERI LEE NEWHOUSE

Teri Lee Newhouse, 51, of Ishpeming, died peacefully Thursday morning, January 31, 2019 at her home while under the loving care of her husband, Jeff and daughter, Ashley with the support of UP Home Health & Hospice. 

She was born June 27, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of the late Jack and Mary (Lucas) Gwinn.

Teri was a member of AA for many years and was proud to be a strong recovering alcoholic.  She loved living in the UP.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking photos of them and taking drives around the area.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Newhouse of Ishpeming, whom she married on August 10, 2002; children, Ashley McGeshick (Lucas Heikes) of Negaunee, Samantha (Brett) Lechner of Wichita, KS, Melissa (Derick) Jogodinsky of Green Bay, WI and Michele (Logan) Gross of Rothschild, WI; grandchildren, Alylia, Celeste, Zackary, Jason, Brett Jr., Ella and Nora; 12 siblings; a special niece, Jessica Deaner of Kansas; and many nieces & nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers.

A celebration of Teri’s life will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 1 to 3 pm at Canale & Pennock Funeral Service in Ishpeming.  A time of food & fellowship will follow from 3 to 6 pm at the Lakeview Apartments Community Room on Croix Street in Negaunee.
