SEAN L. LAKE

Sean L. Lake, 21, of L’Anse, died Saturday morning, September 1, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident.

He was born May 14, 1997 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Amy Kraft-Lake.  He was raised in L’Anse and attended the Baraga, L’Anse and Marquette High Schools and graduated from L’Anse High School in 2015.

Sean’s greatest loves were his family, friends and hockey.  He loved being on the road exploring and was always looking for his next adventure.  He was a talented athlete, playing hockey for L’Anse High School and the Marquette Electricians before graduating to junior level hockey.  He played for the New York Jr. Aviators, Long Beach Sharks, Bozeman Ice Dogs and Western Michigan Wolves.

He was most recently employed as an electrician’s apprentice at Faith Technologies in Green Bay, WI.

Sean is survived by his mother, Amy Kraft-Lake of L’Anse; brother, Kyle Lake of L’Anse; grandfather, Robert Kraft of L’Anse; grandmother, Gwen Lake of Canada; great-grandmother, Bessie Pennock of L’Anse; aunts and uncles, Rob Kraft of St. Johns, Randy (Jamie) Kraft of L’Anse, Kris Kangas-Kraft of Lansing, Chris Lake, Jacqui Lake, Gino Reda and Roberta Lake, all of Canada; cousins, Maegan & Hunter Kraft of L’Anse and Hannah & Lauren Kraft of St. Johns, MI, Samantha, Jack, Luke and Kaylee Lake, all of Canada.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pamela Kraft, grandfather, Larry Lake and uncle, Michael Kraft.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 11 am to 2 pm at the L’Anse Baptist Church.  A memorial service will be held at 2 pm in the church with Rev. Gerald Bishop and Andre Reda officiating.  A luncheon will follow the service in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
