KAYLA JEAN GILSTORFF

Kayla Jean Gilstorff, 26, of Ishpeming, died Friday, July 20, 2018 in Ishpeming.

She was born March 19, 1992 in Escanaba, a daughter of Dennis Gilstorff and Lynn Peterson.  She was a 2010 graduate of Superior Central High School and had attended NMU.  While in high school she was a member of the cheerleading squad and track team.

Kayla had been employed as a housekeeper, but most recently worked at Culvers.  She will be remembered by her family for her creativity and intelligence and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her parents, Dennis (Jody Walsh) Gilstorff of Skandia and Lynn Peterson of Ishpeming; son, Jordan Christian Mills of Ishpeming and his father, Troy Mills; siblings, Lilli Gilstorff of Ishpeming, Justice Guidebeck of Ishpeming, Emily Gilstorff of Ishpeming, Haili Gilstorff of Skandia and Kaidance Gilstorff of Skandia; a grandmother, Elaine Austin of Flint, MI.  She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Dorothy Meyers and grandmother, Lola Ayotte.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 3 to 4 pm at Canale & Pennock Funeral Service in Ishpeming.  A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Kayla’s family.
