JUNE B. SARVELLO

June B. Sarvello, 85, of Ishpeming, died peacefully Sunday morning, August 20, 2017 at her home, under the care of UP Home Health & Hospice and with family by her side. 

She was born November 29, 1931 in Negaunee, a daughter of the late Wallace and Alice (Andersen) Carpenter.

June married Salvatore Sarvello at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Negaunee in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 2001.

In her earlier years, June performed factory work in Detroit and later worked in her family’s business, Tudy’s Grocery in Ishpeming for many years.

She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Church and enjoyed BINGO and time with her family.

June is survived by her two children, Sharon (Lawrence) Methot and Brian (Cheryl) Sarvello; grandchildren, Briana (Scott) Bancroft, Jamie (Luke) Sullivan, David (Sandy) Haywood, Craig Haywood and Kimberly Methot; great-grandchildren, Mason Bancroft, Kole Bancroft, Blake Sullivan, Eliana Sullivan, Kaya and Chase Haywood; sisters, Alice Clase, Shirley Skinner and Gloria Dean; and many nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Ethel Clase, Paul Carpenter, Rita Pascoe, Pearl Parcell, Tom Carpenter, Joe Carpenter, Barbara Sherman and Bill Carpenter.

Honoring June’s wishes, no services will be held.  Interment will take place in the Negaunee Cemetery.
