DENNIS "PELLI" F. PELLINEN

Dennis F. Pellinen, 54, of McFarland & Ishpeming, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 as a result of a snowmobile accident. 

He was born April 27, 1964 in Waukegan, Illinois, a son of the late Melvin and Mabel (Winn) Pellinen and was raised in Ishpeming.

Dennis worked for 23 years as a plant repairman for CCI at the Tilden and Empire Mines.

He attended Little Lake Chapel and Lake Superior Christian Church.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed riding ATV’s, guns, cars and snowmobiling, but especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by three children, Angela (Jordan) Jones of McFarland, Alden and Ashley Pellinen, both of Green Bay; grandchildren, Sophie & Jackson; a brother, Steven (Diane) Pellinen of Ishpeming; a niece and a nephew; cousins and other extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Susan.

A Celebration of Dennis’ Life will be celebrated on Saturday, January 19, 2019 beginning at 1 pm at the Turin Township Hall in McFarland.

Dennis’ family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Delta County and Marquette County Sheriff Departments and all the volunteers who had helped with their father.
