Anna Collins

Anna “Mae” Collins, 93, of Ishpeming, died peacefully, Thursday morning, May 12, 2016 at the Mather Nursing Center. 

She was born October 25, 1922 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late William E. and Anna Maria (Tausand) Freeman.

On January 25, 1958 she married George Collins in Baraga, Michigan.

Mae was a member of the Ishpeming VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Bethany Lutheran Church.  She tutored children in various educational subjects and in her spare time she enjoyed BINGO and the casino.

Mae is survived by her best friend, Pamela Allen and her children, Travis L. and Courtney D. Allen, all of Ishpeming.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; two sons; a sister; and four brothers.

A private graveside service will be held in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery.
